Clients ambition

Waternet has the ambition to work according to uniform processes for the entire asset management chain. For one of these processes: Programming, a senior consultant was needed to organize and implement this process.

Our solution

Compris used an interim asset management professional to design and implement the Programming process at Waternet.

As a water company, Waternet not only provides clean drinking water, they also maintain the sewer system and the water system. In this set-up, Waternet is service provider for Waterboard 'Amstel, Gooi and Vecht'. This makes Waternet the only water company in the Netherlands that takes care of the entire water cycle. This involves quite a few assets and therefore a large area. Assets for which Waternet wants to standardize the processes. Compris assisted Waternet to devise one of the key processes in their asset management system.

A Senior Asset Management Professional fulfilled this role for 18 months within Waternet. Together with a  team of 15 professionals across the organization, Compris implemented the 'Programming' process. Through Programming, we planned the necessary steps for the upcoming 6 years in order to fulfill policy objectives. In this proces we took into account all aspects needed for the transition, such as budgets, working methods and training. "Programming, as a tactical process, provides the bridge between strategy and operations. It has a crucial role in the transition that Waternet wants to make: unifying all processes within the asset management chain and shaping data-driven asset management.
